Sweet and slightly smoky—grilled watermelon is great as a side dish, dessert or salad.
- 6 slices watermelon, seedless, cut into 1 inch wedges
- 2 Tablespoons organic olive oil
- Himalayan salt
Cut watermelon in half, place cut side down on the table and then cut into slices about 1 inch thick. Pat watermelon dry with a paper towel to help absorb some of the liquid.
Preheat grill to high. Brush watermelon on both sides with olive oil and lightly sprinkle with salt. Grill over high heat for 2-4 minutes, until grill marks have formed and melon is slightly softened.
Remove from grill and enjoy immediately.
Experiment with different flavors—add some honey for caramelization, top with yogurt or add some chili powder for a kick!Recipes Home
