Citrus Mustard Greens

For lime vinaigrette

  • 2 teaspoons minced shallot
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon raw honey


  • 2 small grapefruits
  • 1/2 lb mustard greens, trimmed and cut into 1/2” pieces (about 4 cups)

Optional Additional Toppings

  • 1/2 cup dried dates, pitted and chopped
  • pomegranate seeds


  1. In a large salad bowl, whisk together the shallot and lime juice and let stand 5 minutes. Whisk in oil, salt, and honey. Prepare grapefruit by peeling and cutting away any pith. Using a sharp knife, cut away the sections from the membranes. Toss together grapefruit sections and mustard greens with the prepared vinaigrette. Add any optional toppings.
