At New Leaf Community Markets, the health and wellness of our staff, customers, and community has always been our top priority. We’re beyond grateful to have your trust for the past 35 years, and with our communities reopened, we’ll continue to do our part to ensure that we’re navigating changes carefully and with the safety of everyone in mind.

Our stores are operating their normal hours, though they may vary by location. See all store hours here. We’ve extended our 10% senior discount to all hours, every day to provide additional flexibility. We are now accepting reusable water bottles (applies to Aptos location only) and coffee cups.

In accordance with state and CDC guidelines, fully vaccinated customers, staff, and vendors are no longer required to wear face masks while in our stores. While customers will not be asked to verify their vaccination status, fully vaccinated means two weeks after receiving a second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or two weeks after a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. For customers wanting to skip the store altogether, we’ve expanded our grocery delivery and curbside pickup services.

We’ve been incredibly proud of our staff throughout the pandemic for their service to our community and continue to ensure they’re all supported.  We’ll proceed with conducting regular symptoms, and though masks are no longer required, we will supply them for unvaccinated staff on request. Additionally, we’re offering supplemental paid time off to staff members who have tested positive for COVID-19 or have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive.

In addition to our usual sanitation and food safety procedures, we’re disinfecting staff and common areas and surfaces more regularly.  Classes and sampling stations are still closed at this time.

Since the start of the pandemic, we’ve confirmed staff cases within our stores and have a documented cases list here.

In each instance, we contacted local health authorities and followed recommended cleaning guidance. We work diligently to confirm to the best of our ability that any staff member affected had limited prolonged close contact with customers, vendors, or partners. All have received full pay during their recovery time at home.
