 
                
                    This massaged kale salad is a nutritious and flavorful dish made with chopped kale, lemon juice and zest, olive oil, garlic, nuts, and dried fruit.

Ingredients
Salad:
- 1 bunch kale, washed and stemmed 
- 1/2 cup toasted nuts (almonds, pistachios, or walnuts) 
- 1/4 cup unsweetened dried cherries or apple juice sweetened dried cranberries 
- 1 tablespoon hemp seeds 
Dressing:
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced 
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil 
- 1 clove garlic, pressed 
- 1 teaspoon sea salt 
Directions

                                                Finely chop the kale. In a rush? Use half a bag of shredded kale from our produce department!
- 
                                                Place the kale in a large bowl and add lemon juice, lemon zest, olive oil, garlic, and 1 teaspoon of salt.
- 
                                                Wash hands, then massage mixture until kale is softened, about 1 minute.
- 
                                                Add nuts, dried fruit, and hemp seeds. Toss to combine ingredients.
- 
                                                Before serving, taste and adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, and more lemon juice if needed. You can serve immediately, or let the salad rest for 15-20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
