Slow Cooker Cranberry Applesauce

Ingredients

  • 5 pounds your favorite baking apples peeled, cored and chopped

  • 12 ounces cranberries, rinsed

  • 3/4 cup orange juice

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup white sugar

  • 1/2 tablespoon cinnamon ground

  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice

  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in the slow cooker, stir well to combine.
  2. Cook for 4 hours on high or 8 hours on low.
  3. Uncover and use an immersion blender or potato masher to bring applesauce to desired consistency.
  4. Adjust sugar, if necessary, sweetening to taste.
