 
                
                    This stone fruit slaw is packed with the bright, sweetness of summer and the ginger and red pepper gives it just a smidgen of heat. An awesome BBQ booster, try it as a topping on grilled chicken, pulled pork or burgers. Adapted from: “Bon Appetit” July 2011
                
            Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon ginger peeled and grated 
- 1 tablespoon unseasoned rice vinegar 
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 
- 2 teaspoons packed light brown sugar 
- 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes 
- 1 1/2 pound assorted firm stone fruit, about 5 pieces (plums, nectarines, peaches or apricots) julienned 
- 2 scallions thinly sliced 
- Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper 
Directions
- 
                                                Whisk first 6 ingredients in a medium bowl.
- 
                                                Add fruit and scallions; toss gently to coat. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
